Dysfunctional Firm Dynamics and Mexico's Dismal Productivity Performance
TFP fell in Mexico since the 1990’s despite NAFTA. We argue that this was explained by dysfunctional firm dynamics. High productivity firms exited, surviving ones did not become more productive, and entrants were less productive than survivors, mostly because of informality. Our results shed light on the impacts of trade reforms in economies with large informality.

Economic Growth Models in R
This book presents, in a didactic way, the main economic growth models that economists have formulated to understand how countries achieve high levels of development and well-being. To do this, it uses programming and code in the R and RStudio computational environment to carry out empirical simulations with the models and utilize real data from the main Latin American economies.
